.Walking In The Feminine: A Stepping Into Our Shoes Anthology – Call For Submissions

Introducing Walking in the Feminine: Stepping into Our Shoes Anthology, a new book about the perplexities of Women’s lives, which in spite of all the advancements made by the feminist/womanist movements, remain hidden. This project is being developed by authors, writers, public speakers, bloggers, poets, and Truth Seekers Cherise “Reese” Charleswell and Arletta “Unleashed” Saafir.

Details

We are looking for women who are willing to share their thoughts and add their voices to this anthology that seeks to illustrate the unique journey to womanhood they've experienced, and the different paths that each of us have taken along the way. We believe that every single woman has an interesting and fantastic story to tell.

We’re looking for funny, educational, interesting, inspiring, and powerful essays about your adventures of “Walking in the Feminine”. These are stories about womanhood, discrimination, sexual liberation, teenage angst, relationship disappointments, workplace advancement, motherhood, menopause, and more. We are looking for submissions of a minimum of 1500 words. We are only looking for unpublished original essays. If you publish a story on a blog, even your own personal blog, or any website accessible to the general public (i.e., if the story can be found and read online without a password or friend status or other limitation), it is considered published and therefore inappropriate for our market.

Our most critical criteria for Submission is that your essay be honest, open, and captivating. If you would prefer to have your essay published as “Anonymous” we are willing to do so. We would just publish the other pertinent demographics: age, race/ethnicity, and general location. We will select 57 entries for publication in the anthology.
